History

The Beast Clan, true to its name, is made up of races that are mixed with the blood of animals, often resulting in half-human, half-animal-looking people. The Beast Clan has been around for a long time, though not officially at first, because beast-races tend to move in groups and live in tribes, so they have always had a resemblance to a clan-like structure.

The Clan took shape when the 1st Beast King, King Mundi Luhan, saw members of the other Clans destroying nature and wildlife around them in order to build their own homes. King Mundi was a man who loved nature dearly; he was very close to it, and to see such destruction was both disappointing and displeasing to him. With this in mind, he decided to create a group to help preserve and protect the nature around them from the destruction of others. This was how the Beast Clan first took shape.

Many other beast-race members also felt the same way about nature and couldn’t help but feel displeased with how it was treated. As such, he was able to gather a larger and larger group of people to support his cause, soon evolving into a Clan, with him being crowned as its King.

In the early years of the Clan, it didn't have a place to settle down, most often moving from place to place as they roamed the world and enjoyed its beauty firsthand. However, in the later years of the 1st King's life, he decided it would be best to settle in one place and build it up—so he did—settling in the forest of Shinseina, a place filled with wildlife and nature, a place where they felt at home.

Political

The politics of the Beast Clan are run much like a monarchy, with every matter first needing to go through the Ruler of the Clan. This is not necessarily a bad thing; in fact, it has been very useful in keeping the Clan free of corrupt nobles and allowing for a better living situation for the commoners. The most important part of this is that the nobles still do have a say in the development of the Clan, as long as the Ruler agrees with their ideas.

The nobles in the Beast Clan have always been quite a laid-back bunch. They are good at their jobs, be it military management, agriculture, or trade, but they very much aren’t the type to get hung up on social standing or political etiquette. They often enjoy going into the city and having a good time with commoners, drinking and chatting away without a care in the world.

The Clan has always been lively and carefree, and probably always will be. They don’t even restrict people from visiting them.

Erufu Village

Geography

Erufu Village is nestled deep within the Majika Forest, near the borders of the Beast Clan territory. Towering trees provide a natural canopy, mixed with the naturally growing flora and wildlife that live among the trees, creating a serene and secluded environment. The village is interwoven with the forest, with elven homes built into the trees themselves, connected by winding wooden bridges and pathways, giving the village a unique appearance among the Beast Clan.

Government and Politics

Erufu Village operates with a degree of autonomy under the rule of the Beast Clan. Although the village's race tends to fall under the Human Clan banner, the longstanding debate over its governance was resolved in favor of the Beast Clan, as the village is situated within their lands. To avoid military confrontation, the Human Clan ceded the area. Despite this, the Elves maintain a significant degree of independence, only adhering to the Beast Clan’s orders when necessary, as the village has always been private in its matters. The village is governed by a council of elders, who ensure the well-being of their people while navigating the political complexities of their situation.

Economy

Erufu Village’s economy is rooted in its natural surroundings. The Elves are renowned for their expertise in cultivating rare flora and sustainable animal farming. Thanks to this, they are able to produce a wide variety of medicinal herbs, exotic plants, and high-quality animal products, which are highly sought after. Using this to their advantage, the village has maintained its position as one of the largest holders of such products in the Beast Clan market. In recent years, the village has embraced tourism, allowing visitors to experience their unique culture and natural beauty, which has become a significant source of revenue.

Culture and Society

The Elves of Erufu Village have a deep connection to nature, reflected in their harmonious way of life. They are known for their craftsmanship, particularly in weaving, woodworking, and herbal medicine. Because of this, they are deeply ingrained in nature and prefer to live alongside it rather than harm it. It is a village that is very community-oriented, with their closed-minded nature often stemming from their close connection to each other rather than hostility toward outsiders. Festivals celebrating the cycles of nature, such as the Blooming Festival in spring and the Harvest Moon Festival in autumn, are integral to their cultural identity, and they very rarely allow outsiders to take part.

Military

Erufu Village maintains a small but highly skilled militia to protect against external threats, trained to use the trees and forest to their advantage. While they prefer peaceful resolutions, the Elves are adept at archery and guerrilla tactics, using their intimate knowledge of the forest to their advantage. Additionally, they have strong alliances with the Beast Clan, ensuring mutual protection in times of need.

Religion and Beliefs

The Elves of Erufu Village revere Shina, the Goddess of Creation and Nature. Temples and shrines dedicated to Shina are scattered throughout the village, where Elves offer prayers and conduct rituals to honor the natural world and the Goddess. Their spiritual practices emphasize balance, renewal, and respect for all living things.
