The Order of Monster Hunters
In the world of Shinseina, where dangerous creatures and lurking horrors are ever-present, the Order of Monster Hunters stands as an esteemed and indispensable organization that was made to face these deadly threats posed to the world hundreds of thousands of years ago and stand strong even now. Comprised of seven distinct factions, each specializing in different aspects of monster hunting, they share a common and unwavering purpose: to protect the living by relentlessly pursuing and eliminating the monstrous threats that plague the land.
Structure and Purpose
The Order of Monster Hunters, while bearing some resemblance to the Guild, differentiates itself through its methods and structure. Unlike the Guild, which relies on hiring adventurers or individuals for missions, the Order undertakes tasks assigned to them or embarks on self-imposed quests to proactively rid the world of monsters. Their sole focus lies in combating and neutralizing these menacing creatures, ensuring the safety and peace of the land.
They do not welcome just anyone, one can not simply sign up to become a member of the Order as they can only be recognized by passing a test held by the group once every five years, or, by having a badge granted to them by a member of the Order that allows them to take the test at any time.
Only once they pass this test can they join the Order and join a faction.

Training and Expertise

These hunters are not ordinary individuals but highly skilled and rigorously trained specialists. From a young age, they undergo years of intense preparation, learning to master combat, survival skills, and the intricate knowledge of various monstrous creatures. Only after passing the grueling Rite of Passage do they earn the esteemed title of Monster Hunter. Once deemed worthy, they venture forth into the world, often traversing alone or in small pairs.
Their solitary nature stems from the perilous demands of their craft. Even the least experienced among them possess skills comparable to seasoned adventurers, with many attaining expertise or mastery in their chosen field. Some of them are even experts in fields outside of the common norm; and can be called masters of the arts.
However, despite their strength and expertise, the Order faces a declining membership. Many aspirants fail the arduous Rite of Passage during their youth, succumbing to its deadly trials and never fulfilling their destiny as true Monster Hunters.
