Ki Techniques are structured methods of training that allow individuals to enhance their bodies by infusing them with mana over time. Unlike spells, which rely on mental comprehension and manipulation of mana, Ki
Techniques focus on physical progression through repeated training; they are not invoked at will, but instead require the user to gradually unlock their effects by walking the path of the technique.
Each technique contains a defined path, and by advancing along this path, the user gains the benefits and even backlashes associated with each stage. These benefits can vary greatly, ranging from physical enhancements like speed and strength to elemental infusions that grant offensive or defensive capabilities.
Unlike spellcasting, Ki Techniques do not require a deep understanding of magic. As long as one meets the requirements of the technique and physical discipline to follow the method, they can progress. Over time, their body become stronger and more attuned to the technique, allowing for greater feats.
The origins of Ki Techniques are difficult to pinpoint. As long as physical training has existed, so too have these methods in some form. What began as instinctual conditioning has, over generations, become formalized into clear pathways with specific outcomes.
Ki Techniques are not universally available and are considered rare, even secretive. Gaining access to even a single technique often requires connections, status, or extraordinary circumstances. They are not mass-produced or openly distributed, and many are kept as secrets within specific families, clans, or organizations.
Just because one has access to a high-ranking technique does not mean they automatically gain access to lower-ranking ones. Each technique is distinct, and most must be discovered, earned, or purchased through rare means.

S-Rank Ki Techniques are only obtainable through special permissions, exclusive shops, events, or rewards. They are extremely rare and often incomplete or fragmented.

B-Rank Ki Techniques are often controlled by large factions and groups, and are often given out for missions.

C-Rank Ki Techniques are also very rare, to find one it requires completing missions, going on a search, or even in some rare cases special shops.

D-Rank Ki Techniques are sometimes sold in specialized shops but are considered rare even still.
Despite this structure, rarity does not equate to guaranteed access, and the origin of a Ki Technique often determines how closely it is guarded. Many must be uncovered or earned rather than bought.
